AquaFacial (HydraFacial)

Are you starting to notice that your skin is looking dull, congested, or aged? If so, Hydrafacial can help to restore your youthful glow! This nonsurgical, noninvasive treatment offers intense exfoliation, extraction and hydration to help your skin look and feel its best, with no downtime.

What is Hydrafacial?

The HydraFacial treatment is a new breakthrough in aesthetic technology. It takes its name from the root word Hydrate; “to cause to take up moisture”. The HydraFacial treatment removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing, Peeling, extracting, hydrating and moisturizing serums – totally customized for your skin concerns!  The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective.

Why is Hydrafacial good for my skin?

Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Irritation of the skin has been proven to increase signs of aging. The HydraFacial is a hydrating and non-irritating treatment that will leave your skin radiant, glowing and nourished.

Am I a candidate for this treatment?

The HydraFacial treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin benefits from the HydraFacial treatment.

How long does the treatment take? Is there any downtime or pain involved?

The HydraFacial treatment is a fast, efficient treatment that takes less than an hour out of your busy schedule. The treatment is often described as a feeling like a cool paintbrush moving over the face.  Apply SPF 30 sunscreen daily for at least three to five days after treatment. Don't use topical Retin-A or generic tretinoin for at least 48 hours after treatment.

What is the difference between a Hydrafacial and Microdermabrasion treatment?

Microdermabrasion is a single step exfoliation process that works by abrading the top layer of skin and “vacuuming” the exfoliate away to reveal the new, fresh skin below. HydraFacial is the evolution of a microdermabrasion – a multi-step process that provides cleansing and exfoliation, a gentle peel to loosen dirt and debris from pores, extraction via suction to clean out pores, and hydration of anti-oxidants and  galactomys  to lubricate and moist your skin. Through the use of various tips and solutions, each step of the HydraFacial is customized to suit your skin type and concern – oily or dry skin, sensitive skin, fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, your HydraFacial can be customized to include lymphatic draining and/or red or blue LED therapy. A HydraFacial is a microdermabrasion treatment and so much more!

What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results, and how long do results last?

Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. One treatment per month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, blackheads and whiteheads, acneic and oily or congested skin. Continued HydraFacial treatments are highly recommended to maintain results.

What are the benefits of LED treatments?

Light therapy is the application of light energy to the skin for therapeutic benefits. It is a natural photo-biochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. Over the past 40 years, research has shown that light in the red and infrared spectrum effects at least 24 positive changes at a cellular level. The energy delivered by the LEDs enhances cellular metabolism, accelerates the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, and stimulates the production of collagen. As a result, skin texture, skin tone, and elastin may be improved with a series of treatments.

Red Led Light Therapy: (Wavelength between 650nm to 730nm) helps to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Treat wrinkles and saggy skin. Also believed to reduce cytokines, which cause inflammation.

Blue Led Light Therapy: (Wavelength between 525nm to 550nm) Used for its anti-bacterial benefits recommended as acne treatment and helps improve the appearance of oily or congested skin. This specific wavelength stimulates the production of oxygen radicals that kill P. acne bacteria (the acne-causing bacteria), without damaging the skin. Helps with rosacea as well.

Green Led Light Therapy: (Wavelength between 430nm to 450nm) Targets and restores discoloration, including broken capillaries and dark spots.
