A shortened list for before and after laser hair removal IPL:
Before:

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks before undergoing laser hair removal or IPL treatment.

Shave the area two days prior to the treatment
(If your skin is tanned from sun exposure, it is recommended to wait until the tan has faded before undergoing laser hair removal or IPL treatment. Tanned skin has more pigment, which can absorb more of the laser energy and increase the risk of skin damage, such as burns and discoloration)
After:

Avoid hot baths/showers for at least 24 hours

Apply a cool compress if itchy

Apply sun screen lotion

Avoid using harsh products like exfoliating scrubs or aids, using Benzoyl peroxide, or salicylic acid acne treatments, retinol, or vitamin C serums, perfumed lotions or body washes, and astringents or toners containing alcohol or witch hazel.
